Compare/Merge views can be split vertical or horizontal with synchronized scrolling. Fonts and colors choices allow each user to create a personal style. Compare views include inline difference highlighting. Powerful compare options include: View only the differences, differences within N lines of context, ignore case, ignore whitespace, and ignore columns x-y.

Guiffy comes with builtin UNICODE support(and over 100 File Encoding formats with multilingual fonts such as Bitstream Cyberbit and Arial Unicode MS) plus, a command line interface for CM/SCM integrations (such as CVS, Perforce, and Starbase). HTML-based JavaHelp includes Table of Contents, Index, and Search engine navigation. Compare results can be saved as text, as an "RCS diff", or stylized HTML. Spanish, German, French, and Italian user interface translations are provided. Downloads are InstallAnywhere built kits making installation and setup a snap.

From Guiffy's FolderCompare Tree View, File Compares can be performed with a double-click. Right click operations include merge, delete, and copy.

The guiffy.inside package includes classes for GUI and non-GUI applications.

Guiffy is supported on all Java-enabled platforms including: Windows(9x, ME, NT4, 2000, XP), Linux, Unix(Solaris, HPUX, AIX, Tru64), MacOS(9 and X), OpenVMS, and OS/2.
