JSAP is a Java toolkit for SAP that gives developers a significant productivity boost when building Java applications that integrate with SAP by providing a high-level GUI, drag-and-drop interface to SAP. The developer is protected from complicated, low-level implementation details of connecting to SAP.
This is accomplished through a set of wizards, browsers, editors and code generators that allows the developer to work at a higher level of abstraction, dealing with easy to understand and manipulate interfaces, put the focus on the business logic, and quickly build the application using the JSAP intuitive Graphical User Interface.
Most importantly, JSAP provides a set of sophisticated and extensible data transformations, which, once set (through a user-friendly GUI tool) can be called automatically eliminating redundant and error-prone manual function calls.
The toolkit also abstracts the details of the underlying connection technology.
Besides simplified connectivity to SAP, JSAP provides to the web developer a JSP tag library and a set of Java utility classes that speed development by moving parameters and results between the Internet and SAP worlds.
